Colin Powrie

Colin is a chartered accountant with over 8 years’ experience advising companies of all sizes, from start-ups to multinational corporations. Prior to joining Ascend the bulk of Colin’s career was spent with Deloitte in London where he qualified as a chartered accountant within the firm’s financial services practice.

Latterly at Deloitte, Colin worked in the M&A advisory department, advising on M&A and IPO transactions. The highlight of Colin’s experience was spending over three months in India to build up Deloitte’s fast-growing M&A practice – this involved managing, recruiting and training a team of 50 practitioners, and formulating team strategy to 2020.

Colin has known key members of the Ascend team for over 15 years, having observed the multi-year development process and ultimately successful transaction of IEE, a market-leading car component manufacturer based in Luxembourg.

A Hong Kong native, Colin is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, and has had broad international exposure living and working in the UK, Continental Europe, India, Hong Kong and China.
